Graduating in Medicine from the University of Birmingham in 1996, Dr Cadwallader worked in Birmingham for a few years before spending some time in Australia and New Zealand. She returned to the UK where she completed her GP training. To date she has enjoyed a successful career spanning over 20 years. During her career she has spent 10 years working as a Breast Physician alongside her GP work. In this role she worked for the Breast Screening service aimed at detecting and treating breast cancers at a very early stage. She obtained a Master’s degree in Breast Evaluation.
Dr Cadwallader has a wealth of experience in Women’s health focusing on hormonal and lifestyle issues around the perimenopause and menopause. At her GP practice she is the Women’s health lead and fits coils and implants. Her other interests in this area include contraception and hormonal imbalance. She has her MRCGP, DRCOG, DipFRSH qualifications.
With the explosion of interest and recognition of the effects of menopause on women, she has furthered her medical education in this area. She is fully averse of the treatment options available on the NHS. Whilst these can be beneficial for many women, there are some women who still find their needs unmet. The individual approach of the Marion Gluck clinic and the use of bioidentical hormones sparked in her a curiosity in this field.
Dr Cadwallader brings a compassionate nature to her work. This combined with her medical knowledge and experience she is able to offer women a personalised approach tailored to their individual needs.
When not at work she can usually be found outdoors with her family. She loves yoga, cycling and open water swimming.
